ANDTc supplies training in the following methods (Levels 1 and 2):
-
(MT) Magnetic Particle
: Method for detecting surface and limited subsurface discontinuities in ferromagnetic materials such as iron, nickel, cobalt, and some of their alloys.
-
(PT) Penetrant Testing
: Method used to locate surface-breaking defects in all non-porous materials (metals, plastics, or ceramics).
-
(RT) Radiographic Testing & Radiation Safety (Included in RT1 Course)
: Method of inspecting materials for hidden flaws by using the ability of short wavelength electromagnetic radiation (high energy photons) to penetrate various materials.
-
(UT) Ultrasonic Testing
: Method using very short ultrasonic pulse-waves to detect internal flaws or to characterize materials and also measure material thickness.
-
(ET) Eddy Current Testing (On Demand)
: Method using electromagnetic induction to detect flaws in conductive materials.
-
(WI) Weld Inspectors
: Quality control of welding which by means of examination, observation, and/or measurement of welds.
Besides the main methods we can also cater for advanced training that can be arranged in conjunction with NDT Expert, in France.
Should you have a requirement for five students or more to be trained, ANDTc will be more than willing to prepare a tailor-made course to suit your needs, outside the boundaries of the normal schedule.
